Sydney Suva Triumphs in Sanatan World Cup Final!

Sydney Suva triumphed over Labasa with a 2-0 victory in a captivating final, securing the Rams Group of Companies 10th Sanatan World Cup.

Young talent Marcus Lal made an early impact by scoring the first goal, although he later missed a penalty opportunity. Despite the efforts of brothers Anish Khem and Ashnil Raju to bring Labasa back into contention, Sydney’s defense, anchored by goalkeeper Jerome Narayan, along with Krishneel Dutt and Kishan Sami, held strong.

Shivneel Pillay, a former Nadi player, confirmed Suva’s dominance with a remarkable goal in the second half. Labasa faced further challenges as Melvin Mani was sent off, leaving them with ten players.

In recognition of their performances, Narayan received the Golden Glove award, while Lal earned the Golden Boot for scoring seven goals throughout the tournament. Pranit Singh was honored as the Most Valuable Player of the World Cup, and Sydney Suva was awarded the title of Best Disciplined Team.
