Sydney Suva has secured a place in the semifinals of the Rams Group of Companies Sanatan World Cup after defeating New Zealand Sanatan 2-1 in an extra-time quarterfinal match. Pranesh Goundar provided the local team with an early advantage, but Issac Kumar equalized for New Zealand Sanatan late in the second half, sending the match into extra time. Replacement player Lachlan Lal scored the decisive goal for the team managed by Sanjeev Singh, with Nick Sharma and Moshin Nabi overseeing the administration.
