Sydney Suva kicked off its campaign in the Rams Group of Companies 10th Sanatan World Cup with a strong performance, securing a 1-0 victory against Labasa. The match saw midfielder Nickel Chand score the decisive goal midway through the second half with a header from a corner kick.

Sydney Suva showcased a talented lineup, including national goalkeeper Jerome Narayan, Captain Kishan Sami, Muni Shivam Naisu, Merrill Nand, along with brothers Lachlan and Marcus Lal.

Labasa fielded their own set of skilled players, including brothers Anish Khem and Ashnil Raju, as well as Navua representatives Matthew Charitar, Brian Charitar, Vinal Prasad, and Jasnit Vikash.

After a competitive and intense first half, Suva managed to secure the win thanks to Chand’s goal and maintained strong defensive play until the final whistle.
