Sydney Suva Crowned Champions in Epic Sanatan World Cup Finale

Sydney Suva emerged victorious against Labasa, winning 2-0 in an exciting final of the Rams Group of Companies 10th Sanatan World Cup.

Marcus Lal put Suva ahead with an early goal but later missed a penalty opportunity. Despite strong efforts from brothers Anish Khem and Ashnil Raju to bring Labasa back into contention, the defense of Sydney, anchored by goalkeeper Jerome Narayan, along with Krishneel Dutt and Kishan Sami, held firm.

The match was secured for Suva when former Nadi striker Shivneel Pillay delivered an impressive finish midway through the second half. Labasa’s challenges were compounded when Melvin Mani was sent off, reducing them to ten players.

In individual accolades, Jerome Narayan received the Golden Glove, Marcus Lal was awarded the Golden Boot for scoring seven goals during the tournament, and Pranit Singh was named the Most Valuable Player. Additionally, Sydney Suva was recognized as the Best Disciplined Team.
