Sydney Suva Claims Glory in Sanatan World Cup Final!

Sydney Suva triumphed over Labasa with a 2-0 victory in an exciting final to claim the Rams Group of Companies 10th Sanatan World Cup. Young talent Marcus Lal scored the first goal for Suva early in the game, although he later missed a penalty.

Despite efforts from brothers Anish Khem and Ashnil Raju to rally Labasa, Suva’s defense, anchored by goalkeeper Jerome Narayan, along with defenders Krishneel Dutt and Kishan Sami, held strong. Former Nadi striker Shivneel Pillay secured the win for the host team with a remarkable goal in the second half, after which Labasa was left with ten players due to Melvin Mani’s red card.

In individual accolades, Narayan received the Golden Glove for his outstanding goalkeeping performance, while Lal earned the Golden Boot for scoring seven goals throughout the tournament. Pranit Singh was honored as the Most Valuable Player of the World Cup, and Sydney Suva was recognized as the Best Disciplined Team.
