Suva’s Thrilling Comeback Secures 3-2 Victory Over Nasinu

Flick Hygiene Suva FC secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory against Nasinu in round 14 of the Digicel Fiji Premier League at the Uprising Center in Pacific Harbour yesterday.

Suva started strong, with Joe Moses scoring in the ninth minute and Ramzan Khan adding another in the 28th minute, leaving them with a comfortable lead at halftime.

However, Nasinu rallied in the second half, with Jone Naraba netting the equaliser in the 39th minute, followed by a goal from Ryan Chandra, leveling the match at 2-2.

In the final moments of the game, Moses struck again, scoring a crucial goal for Suva and clinching the 3-2 win.

Suva coach Babs Khan praised his team’s performance in what he described as a closely contested match. While acknowledging some shaky moments in the first half, Khan expressed pride in the overall display and the resilience of the defense.

“It was a great and tight match; Nasinu came to win just like our team,” Khan stated. “We were shaky in the first half, especially in our finishing, and we need to improve on that. I’m proud of the boys’ performance.”

Khan underscored the importance of maintaining composure and improving finishing in future matches. He also expressed optimism about the team’s progress and encouraged them to keep working hard to build on their winning momentum as they approach round 15 fixtures.

He thanked the loyal Suva fans for their steadfast support and acknowledged the contribution of sponsor Flick Hygiene.

In another match yesterday, Tailevu Naitasiri played to a 1-1 draw with Labasa at Subrail Park, with France Catarogo scoring for the visitors and Akeimi Ralulu equalising for the hosts.
