Suva’s Thrilling Comeback: A 3-2 Showdown Against Nasinu

Flick Hygiene Suva FC secured a narrow 3-2 win against Nasinu in round 14 of the Digicel Fiji Premier League at the Uprising Center in Pacific Harbour yesterday.

Suva took control early in the match with Joe Moses scoring in the ninth minute, followed by Ramzan Khan finding the net in the 28th minute, allowing Suva to take a comfortable lead at half-time.

However, Nasinu mounted a strong comeback in the second half, with Jone Naraba scoring an equalizer in the 39th minute, soon followed by a goal from Ryan Chandra that leveled the score at 2-2.

As the clock wound down, Moses demonstrated his talent once again, scoring the decisive goal for Suva and ensuring their 3-2 victory.

Suva’s coach Babs Khan lauded the team’s performance, noting the match’s competitiveness. He acknowledged some shaky moments during the first half but expressed pride in the players’ overall efforts, particularly the resilience displayed by the defense.

“It was a great match and a tight match; Nasinu came to win just like our team,” Khan said. “We were shaky in the first half, especially in our finishing, and we need to improve on that. I’m proud of the boys’ performance. The players maintained their composure, especially the back line. My message was to push hard against Nasinu and keep our composure.”

Looking ahead, Khan stressed the need for improvement in finishing and maintaining composure in future games. He stated his optimism about the team’s improvement and encouraged them to keep working hard as they prepare for the next round of fixtures.

Khan also expressed gratitude to the loyal Suva fans for their steadfast support and thanked sponsor Flick Hygiene for their ongoing assistance.
