Ten-man Suva triumphed over Lautoka in a fiercely contested Round 17 match of the Digicel Fiji Premier League at Churchill Park today. An early goal from Ni-Vanuatu player Joe Moses proved to be the deciding factor for the Flick Hygiene sponsored team.

Lautoka had an opportunity to equalize late in the game when Joeli Ranitu was penalized for a foul in the box and received a second yellow card, resulting in his dismissal. However, Sairusi Nalaubu’s penalty attempt was expertly saved by Suva’s goalkeeper and captain, Akuila Mateisuva.

Following this match, Suva stands at 22 points, keeping them in seventh place on the league table, while Lautoka remains in third place with 28 points.
