Suva’s Stunning Victory: 10th Sanatan World Cup Champions Revealed!

Sydney Suva claimed victory over Labasa with a score of 2-0 in an exciting final of the Rams Group of Companies 10th Sanatan World Cup.

Young talent Marcus Lal scored the opening goal for Suva early in the game, even though he later missed a penalty opportunity. Labasa’s Anish Khem and Ashnil Raju worked diligently to try to turn the match in their favor, but Suva’s defense, anchored by goalkeeper Jerome Narayan along with Krishneel Dutt and Kishan Sami, held strong.

The match was effectively decided when former Nadi player Shivneel Pillay added a second goal for the hosts in the second half. Labasa’s chances were further diminished when Melvin Mani was sent off, leaving them with ten players.

Individual accolades were awarded as well, with Narayan receiving the Golden Glove, Lal taking home the Golden Boot for scoring seven goals throughout the tournament, and Pranit Singh being honored as the Most Valuable Player. Additionally, Sydney Suva was recognized as the Best Disciplined Team.
