Suva Sydney has secured a place in the Premier semifinal of the Rams Group of Companies Sanatan World Cup after defeating New Zealand Sanatan 2-1 in their quarterfinal match, which went into extra time.

Pranesh Goundar put the local team ahead with an early goal, but New Zealand Sanatan responded late in the second half with a goal from Issac Kumar, equalizing the score and sending the match into extra time.

In the decisive moments, replacement player Lachlan Lal scored the winning goal for the team coached by Sanjeev Singh, with administration support from Nick Sharma and Moshin Nabi.
