In a fiercely contested Round 17 match of the Digicel Fiji Premier League, ten-man Suva triumphed over Lautoka at Churchill Park. The decisive moment came from Ni-Vanuatu player Joe Moses, whose early goal provided the edge for the Flick Hygiene-sponsored team.

As the match approached its conclusion, Lautoka had an opportunity to equalize when Joeli Ranitu was penalized for a foul in the box and was subsequently sent off after receiving a second yellow card. However, Suva’s goalkeeper and captain, Akuila Mateisuva, made a spectacular save against Sairusi Nalaubu’s penalty attempt.

Following this match, Suva sits in seventh place on the table with 22 points, while Lautoka remains in third position with 28 points.
