Suva Stuns Lautoka in Thrilling 10-Man Showdown

Suva, playing with ten men, triumphed over Lautoka in a fiercely contested Round 17 match of the Digicel Fiji Premier League at Churchill Park today.

The decisive moment came from an early goal netted by Ni-Vanuatu player Joe Moses, which secured the victory for the Flick Hygiene-sponsored Suva team.

Lautoka had a chance to equalize late in the game when Joeli Ranitu received a second yellow card for a foul in the penalty area, resulting in his dismissal. However, Suva’s goalkeeper and captain, Akuila Mateisuva, made a spectacular save to deny Sairusi Nalaubu’s penalty attempt.

With this win, Suva now claims 22 points and holds the seventh position in the league standings, while Lautoka remains third with 28 points.
