Suva Strives for Goal-Scoring Improvement None

Host Suva is focusing on improving their finishing skills ahead of the semifinals of the 2024 Rooster Chicken/Scoops Ice-Cream Battle of the Giants. The team, known as the Whites, managed to score just one goal in their three group matches, which came from a penalty kick by Dave Radrigai.

Captain Akuila Mateisuva emphasized the importance of scoring goals to win matches. “Our campaign has been good in the BOG, but we need to score goals to win matches. The semifinal will be a different ball game altogether, and we will work on improving in the weak areas,” he stated.

He also highlighted the need to connect their skilled finishers to score goals. “Our defence and midfield have been functioning well, and we hope to stay consistent in the semifinals,” he added.

Flick Hygiene Suva will compete against Smart and Efficient Security/Calgary Nadi in the second semifinal at 4:30 p.m.
