Suva Shines with Dominant 4-0 Victory Over Nadroga!

The Flick Hygiene Suva FC team secured a resounding 4-0 victory over Marine Auto Upholstery/Sugar Taxis Nadroga FC in Round 16 of the Digicel Premier League at Ratu Cakobau Park yesterday.

Suva took the lead early in the match with an opening goal from Merril Nand, followed by goals from Bruce Hughes, Gagame Feni, and Joe Moses, solidifying their dominant performance.

Despite the emphatic win, Suva’s coach, Babs Khan, voiced his frustration regarding the team’s inability to maintain possession throughout the game. “We discussed the importance of keeping possession, but we lost the ball too easily,” he remarked. He emphasized the need to control the ball better in the second half, particularly given the heat which required them to manage the game effectively.

Khan noted that improvements were necessary in several areas beyond just possession. He also pointed out that this victory was critical for the team’s aspirations, helping them move out of the relegation zone and qualify for the inter-district competition (IDC).

“We have escaped relegation, which was my primary task, and we have qualified for the IDC,” Khan stated. He underscored the significance of every match in their current season after finishing in second to last place last season, treating each game as crucial.
