Ten-man Suva secured a victory against Lautoka in a tightly contested Round 17 match of the Digicel Fiji Premier League at Churchill Park today. An early goal from Ni-Vanuatu player Joe Moses proved crucial for the Flick Hygiene sponsored Whites.

Lautoka had an opportunity to equalize late in the game when Joeli Ranitu received a second yellow card for a foul in the penalty area, resulting in his dismissal. However, Suva’s goalkeeper and captain, Akuila Mateisuva, made a spectacular save to thwart Sairusi Nalaubu’s penalty attempt.

Currently, Suva holds 22 points and is positioned seventh in the league standings, while Lautoka remains in third place with 28 points.
