Suva Secures Thrilling Comeback Win Over Nasinu in Premier League Showdown

Flick Hygiene Suva FC secured a tough 3-2 victory against Nasinu in round 14 of the Digicel Fiji Premier League at the Uprising Center in Pacific Harbour yesterday.

In the early stages of the match, Suva established control with two exceptional goals scored by Joe Moses in the ninth minute and Ramzan Khan in the 28th minute, leading 2-0 at halftime.

However, Nasinu fought back in the second half, with Jone Naraba finding the net in the 39th minute, followed shortly by Ryan Chandra, bringing the score to 2-2.

With time running out, Moses struck again, scoring the decisive goal and securing the hard-fought win for Suva at 3-2.

Suva coach Babs Khan praised his team’s efforts in what he described as a closely contested match. He recognized some tense moments in the first half but expressed pride in the players’ overall performance and the defense’s resilience throughout the game.

“It was a great and tight match, Nasinu came to win just like our team,” Khan remarked. “We were shaky in the first half, especially in our finishing; we need to improve on that, but I am proud of the boys’ performance.”

Khan noted that his players maintained their composure, particularly in defense, and emphasized the importance of maintaining this focus in future matches. He expressed hope about the team’s gradual improvement and encouraged them to keep working hard to build on their winning momentum as they prepare for round 15.

He also thanked the loyal Suva fans for their steadfast support and acknowledged sponsor Flick Hygiene for their ongoing backing.

In another match played yesterday, Tailevu Naitasiri faced Labasa, resulting in a 1-1 draw at Subrail Park. France Catarogo put the visitors ahead in the first half while Akeimi Ralulu equalized for the hosts.
