Suva Secures Spot in 2024 Battle of the Giants Tournament – Exciting Details Revealed!

Suva has automatically qualified for the 2024 Battle of the Giants tournament, which will be held at the HFC Stadium later this month, despite being ninth in the Digicel Premier League standings.

This privilege comes from being the host team, which trumps their league position.

Nasinu and Tailevu Naitasiri, however, will not take part in the tournament.

Although Nasinu moved up to eighth place after their recent Round 12 victory against Ba with a score of 1-0, they did not make the tournament cut.

The eight teams that have qualified for the Battle of the Giants are: Rewa and Labasa, both leading with 27 points, followed by Lautoka (19 points), Ba and Nadi (18 points each), Navua (17 points), Nadroga (14 points), and host Suva (9 points).

The official pool draw for the tournament is set for later this week, with the group stages to be held from July 26-28.

The knockout stages will take place a week later, all at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
