Exciting rugby action took place on Saturday at the Suva Rugby Union club games held at the USP grounds in Suva.
During round six of the FMF Koroturaga competition, Covenant Red secured a 12-0 victory over Kalokolevu Green, while Nabua White triumphed over the Taha team with a score of 17-10. Additionally, Queen Victoria School Old Boys achieved a convincing win against Fiji National University, finishing the match 25-5.
The Draunivau Sharks also had a successful outing, defeating Kalekana 20-0. In contrast, Nakavu faced a setback, losing to Savura with a score of 20-45.
In the FMF Escott Shield for round nine, Marist Old Boys emerged victorious against Raiwaqa, winning 25-15. The Lami Cavaliers managed a narrow win over Eastern Saints with a score of 7-5, while Naqarani edged out USP with a close 19-18 victory. However, Covenant Blues were unable to secure a win, losing to Freshet Nazy with a score of 22-11.
Freshet Navy also celebrated their success as they claimed the Mosese Taga Shield.
As the round-robin matches continue in the Suva club games, the competition is expected to intensify in the upcoming matches scheduled for next week at the same venue.
