Albert Park in Suva was the vibrant setting for the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Annual Children’s Pathfinder Fair 2025, hosting over 2,000 children and families from the Central Division. The event celebrated youth engagement and community spirit with more than 60 Pathfinder clubs participating in parades, music, and various activities aimed at promoting teamwork, discipline, and faith.

Minister for Information, Lynda Tabuya, was present to encourage the young participants. She praised their enthusiasm and urged them to continue developing positive values that will guide their futures. The Pathfinder Club is an integral part of the global SDA movement for youth aged 10 to 15, focusing on practical skills such as Bible study, first aid, health, camping, survival training, and leadership, alongside cultural identity and community service.

This fair isn’t just an annual event; it’s a testament to the SDA’s commitment to fostering a supportive environment for youth development. It serves as a platform for celebrating youth achievements while strengthening community engagement.

Echoing the sentiments from the previous similar initiatives, such gatherings highlight the positive impact of youth involvement in community-centric activities. Similar to other events targeting youth, like the recent Easter camps and “Easter on the Park” initiatives, the Pathfinder Fair plays a significant role in promoting spiritual growth, leadership, and practical life skills.

These events collectively reinforce the importance of communal support systems and their potential to inspire long-term personal and societal benefits. Engaging youth in meaningful activities not only aids in their personal development but also nurtures a sense of responsibility and belonging within the community.

The Children’s Pathfinder Fair, with its focus on promoting core values and skills, exemplifies the harmonious synergy between fostering individual growth and cultivating collective community strength. Through such events, there is a hopeful outlook towards a future where young individuals are equipped with the tools necessary for navigating life’s challenges, ultimately shaping a brighter future for all.
