A violent altercation outside a well-known nightclub in Suva has resulted in six people being hospitalized, with two individuals currently unconscious. Authorities report that these two are receiving urgent care at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital, along with a third person who is stable. Three additional individuals have been admitted to Sigatoka Hospital, and they are all reportedly in stable condition.

Reports indicate that some participants in the brawl are associated with a Rugby League club from Sigatoka, which held its awards night in Suva the evening prior to the incident.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Livai Driu, has stated that the police in the Central Division are diligently investigating the matter and are in the process of identifying and apprehending those involved in the conflict.

It is fortunate that while this incident was serious, the majority of those injured are reported to be stable. The swift action of law enforcement is also commendable, as it demonstrates their commitment to ensuring public safety and addressing violence in the community. As investigations continue, there is hope that the community can come together to prevent such incidents in the future.
