Suva Netball Association Celebrates Extended Partnership with Newworld IGA

The Suva Netball Association has renewed its partnership with Newworld IGA for an additional two years. This collaboration, which has thrived for over a decade, will ensure that Suva Netball continues to be recognized as Newworld IGA Suva Netball, further supporting the growth of the sport.

Sameer Patel, a representative from Newworld IGA, conveyed his excitement about the enduring partnership, while Suva Netball President Alumeci Sachs expressed gratitude for Newworld’s significant contributions to the association’s achievements.

Ms. Sachs noted that the Suva Netball Association takes pride in seeing many of its Open Players representing the National Uniform. She also mentioned that U21 Suva Players have been selected to participate in both the NWYC Oceania Qualifiers in the Cook Islands and the Maori Netball International Secondary School Tour this year.

This season, the Suva Netball Association has welcomed over 80 registered teams, reinforcing its status as the largest netball association in the country.

A ceremony to officially commemorate the partnership will take place on September 30 at Lot 1 Viria Road, Vatuwaqa. The renewed sponsorship will enable Suva Netball to offer exceptional opportunities for players and technical officials, engage with the community, and host events that celebrate and promote the sport.
