The Suva Netball Association has announced the renewal of its partnership with Newworld IGA for an additional two years. This collaboration, which has thrived for over a decade, will continue to brand Suva Netball as Newworld IGA Suva Netball, contributing to the further development of the sport.
Sameer Patel, a representative of Newworld IGA, expressed his excitement about the ongoing support, while Suva Netball President Alumeci Sachs acknowledged Newworld’s essential role in the association’s achievements.
Ms. Sachs highlighted the pride of the Suva Netball Association in seeing many of their Open Players wear the National Uniform. She also mentioned that U21 Suva Players have been selected to participate in both the NWYC Oceania Qualifiers in the Cook Islands and the Maori Netball International Secondary School Tour this year.
This season, the Suva Netball Association has seen a significant increase in participation, welcoming over 80 registered teams, which solidifies its status as the largest netball association in the country.
A ceremony to officially celebrate the renewed partnership is scheduled for September 30 at Lot 1 Viria Road in Vatuwaqa. The extended sponsorship will enable Suva Netball to offer exceptional opportunities for players and technical officials, engage with the community, and organize events that promote and celebrate the sport.
