The Suva Netball Association has announced the extension of its partnership with Newworld IGA for an additional two years. This ongoing collaboration, which has flourished for over a decade, will continue to brand Suva Netball as Newworld IGA Suva Netball and further promote the growth of the sport.
Sameer Patel, a representative from Newworld IGA, expressed excitement about continuing their support, while Suva Netball President Alumeci Sachs acknowledged the important role that Newworld has played in the association’s achievements.
Sachs highlighted the pride the Suva Netball Association takes in seeing many of its Open Players wearing the National Uniform. She also noted that U21 Suva Players have been selected for both the NWYC Oceania Qualifiers in the Cook Islands and the Maori Netball International Secondary School Tour this year.
This season, the Suva Netball Association has registered over 80 teams, reinforcing its status as the largest netball association in the country. A ceremony to officially recognize the partnership will take place on September 30 at Lot 1 Viria Road, Vatuwaqa.
The renewed sponsorship will enable Suva Netball to continue providing outstanding opportunities for players and technical officials and to engage with the community, while also hosting events that celebrate and promote the sport.
