Suva Netball and Newworld IGA: A Winning Partnership Continues!

The Suva Netball Association has announced a two-year extension to its partnership with Newworld IGA. This collaboration, which has thrived for over ten years, will continue showcasing Suva Netball under the Newworld IGA banner, aiming to further promote the sport’s development.

Sameer Patel, a representative from Newworld IGA, expressed excitement about the ongoing support, while Suva Netball President Alumeci Sachs acknowledged the vital role that Newworld has played in the association’s achievements.

Ms. Sachs noted with pride that many of their senior players represent the national team. She also highlighted that the U21 Suva players have been selected to participate in the NWYC Oceania Qualifiers in the Cook Islands and the Maori Netball International Secondary School Tour this year.

This season, the Suva Netball Association has registered over 80 teams, confirming its status as the largest netball association in the nation.

A ceremony to officially mark the partnership renewal will take place on September 30 at Lot 1 Viria Road, Vatuwaqa. The renewed sponsorship will further assist Suva Netball in offering outstanding opportunities for players and technical officials, fostering community engagement, and hosting events that celebrate and promote netball.
