Suva Grammar School secured the Vodafone Deans U16 Finals title with a decisive 29-12 victory over Lelean Memorial School in an exciting match held at HFC Bank Stadium.
SGS took an early lead by scoring a converted try in the first quarter. LMS quickly responded with a converted try of their own, leveling the score. However, SGS regained the advantage with another try in the 16th minute, pulling ahead to 12-7.
By halftime, SGS had increased their lead to 19-7 thanks to a well-executed try and conversion. In the second half, SGS continued to dominate, although they had one try disallowed. They maintained pressure and added another try, making the score 24-7.
LMS fought back and managed to score another try, narrowing the score to 24-12. Nonetheless, SGS closed out the match with a final try and conversion in the closing minutes, concluding the match at 29-12.
