Suva Grammar School triumphed in the Vodafone Deans U16 Finals, securing a decisive 29-12 victory over Lelean Memorial School at the HFC Bank Stadium.
SGS established their dominance early in the match with a converted try in the first quarter. Lelean Memorial quickly responded, leveling the score with their own converted try. However, SGS regained the advantage shortly after, scoring another try in the 16th minute to lead 12-7 at that point.
By halftime, SGS had increased their advantage to 19-7, thanks to a well-executed try and successful conversion.
In the second half, Suva Grammar maintained their strong performance despite having one try disallowed. They continued to control the game, scoring again to extend their lead to 24-7.
Lelean Memorial managed to score another try, narrowing the margin to 24-12, but SGS capped off their victory with one final try and conversion in the closing minutes, bringing the final score to 29-12.
