Suva Grammar School secured the Vodafone Deans U16 Finals title with a decisive 29-12 victory over Lelean Memorial School in an exciting match held at the HFC Bank Stadium.
SGS established an early lead with a converted try in the first quarter. LMS responded quickly, leveling the score with their own converted try. However, SGS regained control and added another try in the 16th minute, pushing their lead to 12-7.
By the time halftime arrived, SGS had increased their advantage to 19-7 following a well-executed try and conversion. In the second half, SGS continued to dominate, even though a try was disallowed. They pressed forward and scored another try, extending their lead to 24-7.
LMS managed to score another try, narrowing the gap to 24-12. Nevertheless, SGS cemented their victory with a final try and conversion in the closing minutes, concluding the match at 29-12.
