Suva Grammar School celebrated its Prefect Induction ceremony last Thursday, marking a significant milestone for student leadership within the institution. During the event, Headgirl Anna Jikoibau and Headboy Brendon Leo expressed their commitment to guiding the school with integrity and dedication, ensuring they provide support to both their peers and teachers.

The ceremony was officiated by the Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro, who emphasized that true leadership transcends mere titles and badges. “Each of you has the capacity to lead through commitment to your studies, teamwork in sports, and kindness in your daily interactions,” he highlighted, encouraging students to embody leadership in various aspects of their lives.

Mr. Radrodro also took the opportunity to recognize the essential role that parents and guardians play in the educational journey of their children. He described the relationship between families and the school as a partnership vital for nurturing responsible and capable young leaders.

A total of 128 students received their prefect badges during the ceremony, celebrated by proud parents, guardians, and community members. This event not only signifies the establishment of new leaders but also reinforces a collaborative spirit among the entire school community, paving the way for a supportive educational environment.
