Suva Futsal capped off a stellar 2024 season by successfully defending their title in the Extra Supermarket Inter-District Championship, achieving a decisive 6-2 victory over Lautoka in the final held at Vodafone Arena. This win not only solidified their championship status but also allowed them to bask in the glory of having captured both the Futsal IDC title and the Futsal League title this season, affirming their position as the top team in the country.
Key players Krishneel Singh and Aman Naidu each contributed two goals to the scoreline, with Deepal Singh and Justin Kumar adding to the tally. Lautoka’s Aporosa Yada managed to score both goals for his team, finishing the tournament as the top scorer with an impressive 13 goals.
Head Coach Vivek Nadan expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance, especially after a setback in the pool stage against Ba. He emphasized the importance of bouncing back from defeats, remarking, “We told the boys it was better to lose a match in pool play rather than the eliminations.” Nadan noted that once they progressed to the final, confidence surged, knowing that victory was within reach.
In the women’s category, Rewa Futsal claimed the Women’s Futsal IDC title by accumulating the most overall points.

For the Women’s division, the Fair Play Award went to Nasinu Futsal, while Adi Litia Bakaniceva from Rewa Futsal was awarded the Golden Boot. Maria Veronika from Rewa earned the Golden Ball, and Emily Esposita from Nasinu claimed the Golden Glove.
In the Men’s division, Lautoka Futsal received the Fair Play Award, Aporosa Yada nabbed the Golden Boot, Nikil Chand from Suva Futsal took home the Golden Ball, and Kitione Baleloa from Suva received the Golden Glove.
