Suva Focused on Goal Scoring for Semifinal Clash

Host team Suva is focusing on sharpening its finishing skills ahead of the semifinals of the 2024 Rooster Chicken/Scoops Ice-Cream Battle of the Giants. The Whites managed to score just one goal in their three group matches, which came from a penalty by Dave Radrigai.

Captain Akuila Mateisuva emphasized the necessity of scoring goals to win matches. “Our campaign in the BOG has been good, but we need to score goals to secure victories. The semifinal will be a different challenge altogether, and we will work on improving our weaknesses.”

He added, “We have skilled finishers in the team and just need to get them connected to score the goals.” Mateisuva also noted that their defense and midfield have been performing well and they aim to maintain consistency in the semifinals.

Flick Hygiene Suva is set to face Smart and Efficient Security/Calgary Nadi in the second semifinal at 4:30 PM.
