Illustration of Whites look to improve on scoring

Suva Focused on Boosting Goal-Scoring Efficiency

Host Suva is focusing on refining its finishing skills ahead of the semifinals of the 2024 Rooster Chicken/Scoops Ice-Cream Battle of the Giants.

The Whites managed to score just one goal in their three group matches, which came from a penalty executed by Dave Radrigai.

Captain Akuila Mateisuva emphasized the necessity of scoring to secure victories.

“Our campaign has been strong in the BOG, but we need to score goals to win matches. The semifinal will bring different challenges, and we will work on improving our weak areas.”

“We have capable finishers on the team and just need to connect better to score the goals.”

“Our defense and midfield have been effective as well, and we aim to maintain consistency in the semifinals,” Mateisuva added.

Flick Hygiene Suva is set to face Smart and Efficient Security/Calgary Nadi in the second semifinal at 4:30 PM.
