Flick Hygiene Suva FC aims to enhance their performance and avoid relegation as they gear up to face Navua in round 15 of the Digicel Fiji Premier League this Sunday.
After their recent 3-2 win against Nasinu in round 14, the team is keen to keep their winning momentum. Head coach Babs Khan expressed optimism about the team’s preparation for the upcoming match.
“The preparation throughout the week has gone well for the boys. We have been focusing on a new style of play, emphasizing building from the back and maintaining possession,” said Khan.
Khan acknowledged Navua as a tough opponent, especially in light of their strong showing in the Fiji Fact final.
“It’s going to be a challenging match; Navua is a solid team. They performed well in the Fiji Fact final and drew with Rewa in round 14, so we know they will be difficult to face, but we are ready for it.”
Despite the stiff competition, Suva is determined to be well-prepared for the match. “We have no injuries; the team is fit and ready. Our goal is to move out of the relegation zone and get Suva back on track with a winning streak,” he added.
Khan also urged Suva’s fans and supporters to show their strong support by attending the match and cheering for the team against Navua.
In addition, a doubleheader is scheduled at Uprising Sports Centre on Sunday, beginning with Nasinu FC against Tailevu Naitasiri at 1 PM, followed by the highly anticipated match between Navua and Flick Hygiene Suva FC at 3 PM. Meanwhile, Nadi will host Labasa at Prince Charles Park, also at a 3 PM kickoff.
