Suva FC Edges Nasinu in Thrilling 3-2 Showdown!

Flick Hygiene Suva FC secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Nasinu in round 14 of the Digicel Fiji Premier League at the Uprising Center in Pacific Harbour yesterday.

In the early moments of the match, Suva took charge with two outstanding goals by Joe Moses in the ninth minute and Ramzan Khan in the 28th minute, establishing a solid lead as they went into halftime.

Nasinu fought back in the second half, with Jone Naraba finding the net in the 39th minute, followed by Ryan Chandra, who scored to level the match at 2-2.

As time was winding down, Moses made a decisive contribution by scoring another vital goal for Suva, sealing the hard-earned 3-2 victory.

Suva coach Babs Khan praised his team’s effort in what he described as a closely contested match. He acknowledged some shaky moments in the first half but expressed pride in his players’ performance and highlighted the resilience of the defensive line throughout the game.

Khan remarked, “It was a great match and a tight match; Nasinu came to win, just like our team. We were shaky in the first half, especially in our finishing, and we need to improve on that. I’m proud of the boys’ performance. They maintained their composure, especially in defense. My message to the boys was to push hard against Nasinu and keep their composure.”

Looking forward, Khan stressed the necessity of refining their finishing skills and maintaining composure in upcoming matches. He expressed optimism about the team’s ongoing improvement and encouraged them to continue their hard work as they prepare for the round 15 fixtures.

In a different match yesterday, Tailevu Naitasiri drew 1-1 with Labasa at Subrail Park, with France Catarogo giving the visitors the lead before Akeimi Ralulu equalised for the hosts.
