Suva emerged victorious in the Vodafone Kaji Rugby Championship, concluding a thrilling three-day event at the HFC Bank Stadium. The capital’s teams demonstrated their dominance in the Boys category by claiming championships in both the under-13 and under-14 divisions.
In the under-13 final, Suva triumphed with a convincing 15-0 victory over Ovalau, while their under-14 counterparts showcased their skills by defeating Ra with a score of 14-0.
On the girls’ side, teams from Vanua Levu excelled, securing the championship titles in both age groups. Cakaudrove claimed the under-14 Kajiana girls title with a strong 12-0 win against Taveuni, who, in turn, celebrated victory in the under-13 category.
The tournament featured participation from 17 different districts, highlighting the competitive spirit and talent in the region among youth athletes.
This year’s championship not only showcased exceptional skills but also fostered community involvement and sportsmanship among the young players.
