Suva emerged victorious in the Vodafone Kaji Rugby Championship, which wrapped up at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva yesterday. The capital city’s teams dominated the tournament, securing the Boys titles in both the Under-13 and Under-14 divisions.
In the U13 category, Suva achieved a convincing 15-0 victory against Ovalau. Their U14 counterparts also showcased their strength, defeating Ra with a clear score of 14-0.
On the girls’ side, teams from Vanua Levu took home the championship titles in both age groups. Cakaudrove triumphed in the U14 Kajiana girls’ final, overcoming Taveuni with a solid 12-0 win, while Taveuni clinched the U13 title.
The event brought together 17 participating districts, highlighting the competitive spirit and talent in the U13 and U14 divisions.
This championship not only reflects the skill and dedication of young athletes in Fiji but also promotes community engagement and sportsmanship across regions. The success of Suva and the enthusiasm displayed by all teams indicate a bright future for rugby in the country.
