Two emerging actors from Fiji’s acclaimed television series “Suva City” Season 2 have opened up about their experiences in the entertainment industry, discussing the challenges of representing multifaceted characters and the impact of fame in today’s digital landscape.

Actress Shristi Singh, who previously hosted a television show, shared that her passion for acting was ignited in her childhood. She fondly recalled watching movies with her grandfather, who would rent DVDs for their family movie nights. Singh, particularly inspired by Hindi cinema, aspired to become an actor but faced periods of self-doubt as she grew older. She described her character, Shireen, as intricate and nuanced, emphasizing the distinction between her character’s superficial traits and her deeper ambitions and emotional complexities.

On the other hand, Zoyal Ali, who portrays Rahul in the new season, acknowledged the show’s commitment to addressing significant social issues and challenges. He confessed that he had no formal background in acting before auditioning and initially found it tough to embody a character he characterized as “despicable” and complex.

As excitement grows for the latest installment of “Suva City,” audiences can look forward to new romantic entanglements, evolving friendships, and intensified drama. “Suva City” Season 2 is set to premiere tonight on FBC TV, following the news slot. This season promises to captivate viewers with its compelling storylines and engaging character arcs.
