The Minister for Local Government, Maciu Katamotu Nalumisa, conducted an inspection at the Suva Bus Station yesterday evening to assess the status of ongoing upgrade works, undeterred by rainy weather conditions. Accompanying the Minister were the Permanent Secretary for Local Government, Ms. Sharma, and the Acting CEO of the Suva City Council, Mr. Tevita G. Boseiwaqa.

During the visit, the team engaged with representatives from the Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) and the contractor involved in the project to gather updates on the enhancements being made. This inspection underscores the government’s steadfast commitment to improving public infrastructure for the benefit of the Fijian populace.

Such updates are essential as they illustrate the government’s proactive approach in ensuring that public amenities meet the needs of the community, promoting not only convenience but also safety and reliability in public transportation.

This enhancement project at the Suva Bus Station is a part of broader efforts by the government to invest in infrastructure, ultimately contributing to the economic growth and well-being of the citizens in Fiji.
