Raiwaqa Police are set to question a group of children who were reported for harassing a family in the Wailea settlement of Suva, all while their parents were present. Following investigations, police were able to identify the children, all of whom reside within the same community as the complainant.
According to police reports, the children were observed attempting to remove a beehive located near a man’s back window, prompting concerns for safety and respect for property. The complainant has indicated that while he does not wish to escalate the situation further, he has requested that authorities formally warn the children to refrain from entering his premises in the future.
The Fiji Police Force has taken this opportunity to remind parents and guardians to engage in discussions with their children about the importance of respecting neighbors and elders. They also emphasized the need to instill a sense of responsibility regarding the consequences of disruptive behavior in the community. This incident highlights the critical role that families play in shaping the values and actions of children, fostering a more respectful and caring environment for all residents.
