A suspect was apprehended last night at the Nadonumai Roundabout by law enforcement after being caught with illicit drugs. The Fiji Police Force stated that the individual was in a vehicle that caught their attention. With the help of the K-9 Unit, authorities discovered a clear plastic wrapper containing five dried branches and leaves believed to be marijuana within the vehicle.
Upon further investigation at the suspect’s residence, police uncovered a zip lock plastic bag filled with loose dried leaves, again thought to be marijuana. Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Livai Driu, noted that drug-related arrests are a daily occurrence and reaffirmed the police’s commitment to intensifying their efforts during the festive season.
