President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere officially inaugurated the 2024 Corona Fiji Pro today.
President Katonivere expressed gratitude to the organizers, acknowledging the significant effort, dedication, and financial investment required to bring this World Tour Competition to Fiji.
“Like every other sport, surfing is driven by passion. Over the next three days, we will unite to celebrate a sport that embodies the pure joy of riding waves and the deep connection between humans and nature, while also showcasing remarkable athleticism and elegance,” he remarked.
The President welcomed the 12 women and 24 men competing from 12 different countries and extended his best wishes for their performance in the competition.
