President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere officially inaugurated the 2024 Corona Fiji Pro event today.
During the launch, President Katonivere expressed gratitude to the organizers, acknowledging the significant effort, dedication, and financial resources that went into hosting the World Tour Competition in Fiji.
He emphasized that, like all sports, surfing is driven by passion, and over the next three days, attendees will celebrate a sport that embodies the pure joy of riding waves and the deep connection between people and nature, while also showcasing remarkable athleticism and elegance.
The event welcomed 12 women and 24 men competing from 12 different countries, who were met by President Katonivere. He extended his best wishes to them for the competition.
