The Coalition Government is actively collaborating with relevant stakeholders to assist residents of River Road in Narere and Sawani in Naitasiri, who have been impacted by recent flooding and a landslide.
Minister for Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management, Sakiasi, visited the affected families to discuss potential government support. He expressed gratitude for the resilience displayed by the families during their recovery efforts from these natural disasters.
“We are committed to working alongside the Ministry of Agriculture and other pertinent government stakeholders. While addressing the immediate issues caused by the flooding is a priority, we are also focused on developing long-term solutions,” Minister Ditoka stated.
During the visit, the Minister was joined by the Permanent Secretary for Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management, Isoa Talemaibua, Commissioner Central Division, Josefa Navuku, and representatives from various key government agencies in the Central Division.
