Two of the three men accused of breaking into the Alison Supermarket at Laucala Beach on Monday morning are scheduled to appear in the High Court in Suva next Friday. The men, Leone Lesumailepanoni, 43, and Sosiveta Raura, 51, faced Magistrate Charles Ratakele yesterday, where they were charged with four counts of robbery each.
It is reported that the duo, along with a third accomplice, allegedly entered the supermarket wielding cane knives and threatened the cashier, demanding she empty the cash register. The third suspect has since been released by police following the investigation.
Magistrate Ratakele ordered that the two accused men remain in custody until their upcoming court appearance.
