Three men have been apprehended in connection to an armed robbery at the Allision Supermarket in Laucala Beach earlier today. According to a statement from the Fiji Police, a specialized team from the Southern Division was quickly assembled to investigate the incident following the report of the robbery.
The suspects allegedly threatened both staff and customers while armed, stealing cash and various items before escaping in a vehicle, which was later discovered abandoned in Tacirua. The three individuals were arrested this afternoon and are currently in custody at the Valelevu Police Station as investigations continue.
This swift response by law enforcement highlights the commitment of the Fiji Police to ensuring the safety and security of the community. As the investigation progresses, there is hope that these efforts will lead to further measures that deter such criminal activities in the future.
In a broader context, community cooperation with the police can bolster safety measures and create a more secure environment for everyone.
