Two of the men involved in a burglary at Alison Supermarket in Laucala Beach are scheduled to appear in the High Court in Suva next Friday. Leone Lesumailepanoni, 43, and Sosiveta Raura, 51, faced Magistrate Charles Ratakele yesterday, each facing four counts of robbery.

The allegations state that the pair, along with a third accomplice who has since been released by police, allegedly entered the supermarket wielding cane knives and threatened the cashier to surrender the cash from the till.

Magistrate Ratakele has ordered that the two men remain in custody until their upcoming court hearing.

This incident serves as a reminder of the ongoing challenges communities face regarding crime, but it also highlights the importance of law enforcement and the judicial system in addressing such issues. As the judicial process unfolds, there is hope for justice to be served and for communities to be safeguarded against similar occurrences in the future.

In summary, two men charged with robbery in a supermarket break-in are awaiting their court appearance, reflecting the community’s ongoing efforts to combat crime and maintain safety.
