The weekly Stapleford event at the Vatuwaqa golf course enjoyed perfect weather yesterday, drawing a total of 80 participants. The competition, sponsored by Abit Hussain Transport, included 10 junior grade players among the competitors.
Jerome Kado, a participant, commented on the lovely sunny weather in Suva, noting that it was a refreshing change from the recent rains. With an early start to the event, Kado expected a lively atmosphere as more golfers were set to arrive throughout the day.
“We played early in the morning, so other golfers will come later, making for a competitive environment as we anticipate some impressive golfers to join us on the course,” Kado shared. He appreciated the bright sunshine and remarked on the excellent condition of the golf course.
Kado enjoyed spending time with friends on the course and looked forward to participating in more golf competitions over the weekend. Looking forward, he expressed optimism about the future of the event, hoping for even larger turnouts in the upcoming competitions.
“I am hopeful for an even larger turnout in the future; I look forward to seeing more players join us and enjoy our time on the course,” Kado stated. He thanked Fiji Golf and the tournament sponsors for organizing the event and eagerly anticipated the next chance to gather with fellow golf enthusiasts at the course.
