Jyoti Lal emerged victorious in the first round of the Ba Golf Club Summer Cup, achieving an impressive score of 38, which secured him the top spot. The competition is intensifying, with Asish Chand and Samisoni Mara closely trailing him, both finishing with scores of 37, placing them in the top three.
Noteworthy performances were also seen from Sailesh Kumar and Abdul Khan, who tied for fourth with scores of 36. Special category winners included Sajid Khan for the Longest Drive and Rajen Singh, who earned the honors for Nearest to the Pin.
Club captain Asish Chand expressed his enthusiasm for the event, noting that strong individual performances are elevating the overall competition. He mentioned that the second round is set to feature more than 40 participants, thanks to players coming in from Lautoka, injecting new energy into the tournament.
Chand highlighted promising players like Sajid Khan, Abdul Khan, and S.M. Sharif, who have already demonstrated their talents, making them contenders to watch as the tournament progresses.
