K-pop superstar Suga from BTS has officially completed his mandatory military service, marking a significant milestone as the final member of the globally acclaimed group to be discharged. He concluded his time as a social service agent on June 18, with his official discharge recorded as June 21. This event has built excitement among fans who eagerly await the band’s reunion following their hiatus.

Suga’s release was noted to be low-key, contrasting with traditional military discharges that typically involve public ceremonies. His agency, Big Hit Music, attributed this decision to concerns about crowd management. While all members of BTS served their military time, Jin, j-hope, RM, V, and Jung Kook have already completed their duties, which commenced with Jin in December 2022.

Following his discharge, Suga took to social media platform Weverse to share his thoughts with fans, expressing remorse for any disappointment caused by previous incidents, including a court ruling last year where he was fined for drunk driving. He highlighted his desire to reconnect with his bandmates and the ARMY, BTS’s dedicated fanbase.

The anticipation builds as BTS gears up for what analysts are forecasting as their largest-ever world tour planned for 2026. Fans are hopeful that this reunion could also reignite the group’s creative momentum, especially as the milestone of their 12th anniversary approaches.

BTS has not performed together since 2022, and the renewed chapter of their collective artistry is set to foster optimism and excitement within their global community. This reunion marks not only a chance for the band to reconnect but also an opportunity for fans to celebrate their shared journey, envisioning vibrant performances and new music in the near future.
