The Ministry of Education has announced that students can now redeem their eTransport cards for Term 2 of the 2025 academic year. The cards, which have been pre-loaded with funds, are available for collection starting today at various designated locations including Vodafone outlets and selected District Offices.

Students who possess Blue subsidized cards are especially encouraged to redeem their cards as soon as possible to avoid any last-minute issues. In preparation for the new term, the Ministry of Education emphasizes early action and invites parents and students to contact the Transport Assistance Unit at 3220429 or 3220570, or via email at ta.helpdesk@govnet.gov.fj for any inquiries regarding the eTransport cards.

To qualify for yearly top-ups or Remote Schools Learner (RSL) vouchers, students must submit an application for the Transport Assistance Initiative by completing the required Transport Assistance form. For those who have lost or damaged their Blue subsidized cards, they will need to fill out a Lost/Damaged eTransport Card Form and have it approved by their Head of School, after which it must be taken to a Vodafone outlet for replacement.

The Ministry also highlights the importance of safeguarding eTransport cards, as these documents should be treated with the same care as official identification.

This initiative is part of the ongoing efforts to provide transportation support for students, which was echoed in a previous announcement regarding the successful launch of these cards for the first term and the benefits extended to over 103,000 students, illustrating the Ministry’s commitment to easing financial burdens on families by ensuring access to educational resources.

With the new school term rapidly approaching, taking prompt action will ensure students can efficiently return to their schooling without transport-related delays.
