Students Busted: Police Crack Down on School Drug Possession

Police have arrested and charged two 16-year-old students for allegedly possessing drugs. The arrests occurred at the students’ schools, one of which is located in Suva and the other in Sigatoka. Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations Livai Driu stated that the students were found with sachets of marijuana. He emphasized that drug-related offenses are treated seriously and will result in charges, underscoring the need for parental support in addressing such issues.

In a separate case, a 65-year-old woman was charged and appeared in court after being found in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana during a police raid at her residence in Lautoka on September 15.
